Dawn's Digression.

I had a good night last night.

I moved the computer from the living room where it has been since we started all this house hunting and wedding planning back to my room where I used to hide out at night to blog or surf the net or IM. Michele asked why I was moving it, and I told her I think it is doing more harm than good in the living room.  Of course, she wanted to know what I meant by that.  I suppose that was a bit vague, wasn't it?

I think it has been interfering with our alone time. Which effects the way we interact. She hasn't been coming to bed with me lately. She stays up after I go to bed. I remembered yesterday that she once told me she used to stay up after her ex went to bed because that was the only time she was really alone. So, I took the hint and I moved it. Later, I even made an attempt at communication. I told her I was feeling neglected. And to my surprise, she was very receptive. She promised we would go to bed together last night. And we did.
Things That Are Gimpy
We have boards that we put up at the bottom of the doorway to the bathroom and my room.  We do that because Darcee will go in there and dine from the litter boxes.  Which is disgusting.  So, we put up these boards, and since Darcee has no legs, she can't get over the board.  A~, Michele went to the bathroom, and on her way out, stubbed the bejeezus out of her toe.  It was bad.  Her toe turned all blue and became swollen.  It was funny.  I mean, not really.  But those boards have been up forever.  I think she is back to walking normally today.
