Want to hear something petty?
I hate it when people come and talk to me like they are taking me into their confidence with a 'big secret' and then 10 minutes later you hear them telling someone else the 'big secret'. I suppose it is really a manipulation to make people feel special, but it always makes me feel unspecial. I suppose I would feel special if that person was, in fact, confiding in me. It just feels cheap when I know it is otherwise. Don't make me feel special if I'm really not. Pet peeve.
