A few updates:
I fixed the ceiling fan. I ended up splicing a bunch of wires together. I felt very butch, the commissioner was very impressed with my electrical abilities.
^begin scene^
TC: If this were our place, we wouldn't do it this way, right?
Me: Um, what would you do then?
TC: Call an electrician.
Me: WHAT?!? To splice wires? Hell, if you're gonna do that, we'll just invite my parents over for dinner and my dad can fix it.
^end scene^

What in the world? She's going to pay an electrician to splice wires. Really? Is splicing dangerous? Am I just an idiot?

Movies watched over the weekend:
The Sweetest Thing: Holy crap, I laughed my butt off. There were two dancing scenes that should have been cut. But that was a funny movie. Rent it. Really.
Billy Elliot: Yeah. Whatever. Rent if you must.
Feardotcom: Um. Yeah. You might rent that when it comes out. Thanks to that movie last night I dreamed someone was cutting my arms with a scalpel. Lovely.
Austin Powers: Goldmember: Rent The Sweetest Thing instead. Can you believe I said that? I know. I LOVE Mike Meyers. I did really laugh, though when Goldmember would go, "You look like a Macho Man" "village people". hehehehehehe Okay, that was funny.

School starts tonight.

I'm still feeling unsociable, and have not been calling/writing my friends as I should. Sorry, guys.

I bought some books over the weekend:
Smart Women: Judy Blume. (so far so good)
Don't Sweat the Small Things in Love (It's in the bathroom for bathroom reading. So far, good tips. I recommend.)
Dispatches From the Forest. (About logging. From a liberal point of view, I'm betting. I hope they discuss both sides of the issue. I hate it when both sides aren't given equal attention so I can make up my own mind.
Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe. (How could this be bad?)
Herotica. (No comment.)
I finished Wifey by Judy Blume. I didn't really like it all that much. Some of it was interesting, I suppose. But Summer Sisters was WAY better.

My birdfeeder broke. I think a fat ass bird sat on it. Michele said she's going to take it back for me. The birds never found it, interestingly enough.
