Dawn's Digression.

My thighs are sore. And I don't mean in the "Hmmm. My legs kinda hurt!" kind of way. I mean in the "Holy Mother of God, I can't walk!" kind of way. This is a direct result of my dancing experience on Saturday. Thank Goodness I couldn't see myself. When I woke up at 8 am Sunday morning, I was still drunk. Wonderful.
So, since the commute is killing me, Michele and I went to Half Price Books to look at the audio books. I got A Tale of Two Cities and German. I got A Tale of Two Cities because I have never read it, and I figure if I'm trapped in the car, maybe I can force myself to listen to something at least somewhat intellectual. Ruby mentioned a book called The Notebook to me, and I had to fight myself not to buy that. I wanted it SO bad. I think she's going to let me borrow it, so I'm training to wait until I see her next week. I almost bought A Walk to Remember, too. That was a good movie, and I bet the book is even better. Perhaps I'll buy it later. Yesterday I listened to the first German CD. I had brain fry by 8:00am. Pitiful. I feel like I can't hear the exact pronunciation very well. I think I'd prefer to see the text and hear the words at the same time, but I have to do something with my time. Maybe I'll learn something. I'm sick of feeling like I don't know anything.
That's Jennifer and my now ex-co-worker Bigfoot Bob. He researches Bigfoot. You see those drinks in front of them? Those are all mine. I have to quit calling Jennifer Jenny. Because people are starting to call her Jenny and she can't stand it. Just so you know, don't call her Jenny.
