Dawn's Digression.

I'm very excited because tonight I'm using this new seasoning by Old El Paso called "Cilantro Lime". I'm going to make me some chicken and rice. Doesn't that sound exquisite? Don't be insolent. It does, too. I just love cilantro. Yummy.

The shower was a great success. In my mind, anyway! I'm not saying our guests had the best time ever, but we did. Showers are by nature lame. I personally do not enjoy most showers. But I enjoyed mine. Wonder if the gifts had anything to do with that? Hmm. ;) We got a bunch of cool loot. Michele got a soap dispenser with floating fish and salt and pepper shakers that she could hardly stand to put down. We got our flatware, which we desperately needed, and just a bunch of the coolest stuff I've ever picked out. I'm proud to say I had full family support with my mother, aunt Laura, aunt Diane, and cousin Michelle. Yay for my family. They rock.

We spent Sunday putting all that stuff up. And setting a bag to the side of things that might need to be returned. We registered before we had the house and before I got my stuff out of storage, so we registered for some things I/we already had. Sunday we also hung a mirror and basically just worked on our chi a bit. However, we still don't have any pictures hung. All in good time, I'm sure.

I got some more birthday presents from Michele yesterday. She got me Hillary Clinton's book and a feng shui book. Of course, now I realize our house is set up completely wrong. I have a feeling there will be chimes and crystals hung all over.
