Dawn's Digression.

I was watching the Tod@y show this morning, and P@t Robertson was on. What a goof. He said that the Supreme Court has a vendetta against religion. *shakes head* Oh, my. He is, of course, ticked off about the recent ruling by the Supreme Court to overturn the Texas sodomy law. The thought that the Supreme Court has a vendetta against religion is ludicrous. I don't know that I feel like getting all political and explaining why I feel that way right now. Maybe expecting that you would know why I think that is naive. It just seems to me that in the past things have reflected Christian beliefs quite a bit. And to see the decisions vary from that perspective feels freeing because not everything should involve religion. Different people have different religions, so how can a law be passed based on any one religion? It doesn't make sense in my little pea brain.
Did you know that there is no where in the Constitution where separation of Church and State is mandated? I did not know that and mostly feel like an idiot for always saying there is none, when that expectation has not been set. I guess to me it has for reasons as identified above.
In case you're wondering why I keep using '@' and '0' in names, it is because I get site hits for weird things. I mentioned D@wson's Cr33k once, and got a bazillion hits. For some reason, this irritated me.
