The Magic 8 Ball Says....
"It is decidedly so."
I asked it if the sellers would accept our offer. I think the Magic 8 Ball is smoking crack. I don't think they'll accept the first offer, but I hope they will the second!
We met with our agent again last night and she sent in the offer. Woo-hoo! Have I told you how much we like our new agent? She rocks.
Speaking of things rocking, I rock. No, I do. Really. Because I found Michele's wedding suit. It was about $400. And then 70% off. She got it for $104. She was so excited. I'd tell you what her suit looks like, but I can't describe it. It has a long jacket that goes below her knees. It is taupe and off-white. She's going to get the jacket altered so that it is above her knee. Right now it is too long, and I think it makes her look heavy. It is definitely not a business suit. It's a dressy suit. And I don't know what else I could say about it except that I hope it looks okay with my dress. Mom says it does, and I'm going to have to trust her on that.
We looked at bouquets over the weekend. I'm thinking real ones are out of the question because I can't meet with a florist in VT ahead of time, and I don't want any guessing. We found some fake ones at Hobby Lobby that seemed just fine. Not fancy, but geez...the ceremony is only like 15 minutes! But we don't want to NOT have bouquets, because we want pictures with bouquets. So, anyway, the bouquets are like $12.99 each. Mom and Shelley think we should carry a single rose. We can't decide. What do you think?
My coworker (Jennifer) is out of town this week at a meeting. This means I can get all caught up. I've had several loose ends in my cubicle for awhile. It's nice and quiet back here right now. What I am enjoying most is not having to schedule interviews all day and not having to set people up for testing. I am best when I have little interaction with people. I really REALLY dislike my job these days. I like the people I work with, and I like the company, I just really hate what I do. I have gotten a really bad attitude. When someone asks me to do something, my attitude is pretty much "Do it yourself." I've always been a top performer here, but I just don't dig it anymore.
I saw a car I liked the other day. Chevy Tracker. No, not one of those jeep looking ones. One with a hard top. It was so pretty. All blue and everything. I can't wait until I can buy a new car. That is something to really look forward to. Thinking about it makes me happy. And don't think I don't remember that I hate SUVs. I do remember. They eat gas. But this is just a baby SUV. Also, I'm used to driving either Barney or Michele's Rodeo. I borrowed Rach's Focus for a few days and really liked it. Except that it sits lower than I'm used to, and I felt like I couldn't see anything. That I do not like. And of course, I'll be looking into those Honda Civic Hybrids. Just wish they had more options.
I was just very bad. I logged onto the Chevy website and designed my Tracker. Um, yeah. And when the money fairy comes and waves her wand over my bank account, it will be mine! All Mine! Until then, thinking of Barney's payment makes me love her/him/it.
