Shower Curtain Update
So I bought a shower curtain. And a liner. And a new rod. And a matching towel. And two hooks for our robes. And a cotton ball thingy. And three bath mats. And. I got in trouble, a little.
*sigh*
I went home and got my wallet so I could hit Target and Wally World. I wish I had a digital camera so I could take pictures of the things I talk about. My new shower curtain is ... I can't think how to describe it. Creamy white with gray/silver and plum foliage. But not a log of foliage. Like there's a square section with gray foliage, then a dusty plum square of foliage. But it is really light. And it isn't flowers. It's more like sticks with buds. It's cute, though. The new shower rod is chrome, and so is the lid and bottom to the cotton ball dispenser. The inner liner is a clear vinyl of very heavy gauge. It'll take a force of nature to rip it off the shower rod. Our robes used to hang behind the door, but were moved to the inside of the cabinet. I think all I need is a crome candleholder to complete the look. And the glass one I have is working just fine. Not spending any more money. Well, okay I am. Those 3 area rugs I bought were all too small. I bought all three thinking I would take 2 back. I just wanted to see how they looked. I think I'm going with the dusty plum one in a larger size. We already have a maroon bathmat which I will respectfully leave in its current position. Don't want to offend LLCM too much.
Well, I said I got in trouble. She asked me, "Did we really need to spend all this money?" And I said, "It's not your money". She said, "Yes, but I have to listen to you.". EXCUSE ME? I just want something that looks like me. Yes, I have my room. But the bathroom was U.G.L.Y., and it cost me less than $50 to make it pretty. To me, that's worth it. I love the bathroom. I like to spend time in there. (Don't ask.) If I want it to be pretty, I will MAKE it pretty. Anyway, that made me mad.
Did I mention the shower liner has suction cups to stick to the tile while you're in there? Very cool.
