Thursday

Thursday is my favorite day of the week.
Usually.
Not this week. I go from thinking it's Friday to wondering why it's only Tuesday. And it's Thursday.
I am bound and determined to finish "I Never Promised You a Rose Garden" during the next couple of days. The book is okay. Not wonderful. I have a hard time following parts of it. The main character is diagnosed as schitzophrenic, and the book follows the three years she spent in an institution. I love books about crazy people, but she has this 'other world' she slips in to sometimes, and I just can't follow that part of it. Not because she slips into the other world, I can follow that...it's just the world she slips in to makes no sense to me. But I'm almost finished with it. Hopefully I'll finish tonight or tomorrow. Actually, what is driving me to finish is that I want to take it back to the library. I was happy to get books, but when I see them all over the place, I want to hurry and finish some so I can take them back. After I finish Rose Garden, I'm going to finish Anne Heche's book. If I am able to get into it. We'll see. After that is "Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley. I've read most of the book before. The concept is SO interesting. I just didn't finish it last time I tried to read it. I got bored. So, I want to try again.
Oppose Arctic Drilling
Arctic drilling pisses me off. I don't pretend to know everything there is to know about it, but based on what I do know, it's a horrible idea. There isn't enough oil up there to justify what we are sacrificing! And those who say there is this big huge supply up there don't seem to understand it isn't all useable. HELLO! Have you ever seen those films that show oil spills? It's terrible. And the only oil spills we hear about are the huge ones. There are tiny ones all the time that no one ever hears about. It's just a darn shame. And speaking of oil spills, did you know ONE oil spill off the coast of California could completely kill off the Southern Sea Otters?Sea Otters Poor little otters. They are so darn cute.
