Spring Has Sprung
Howdy.
The violets in my office have decided to say "Happy Ostara!" to me. Three beautiful pink flowers and several buds on one plant.
I didn't go to the Melissa Ferrick concert. Rachel and Melody said it was pretty good, and Rachel got to meet her. But, I'm really not all that sorry I missed it. I spent the evening with my woman, and it was time well spent. Besides, I'm sure M.F. will be back before too long.
I obviously didn't plant anything last weekend since the ground was a blanket of ice. I did however, walk in that snow/ice to get the little woman her breakfast at Arby's. I'm a sucker. No bones about it.
I actually showed up for band practice and had a good time on Monday. I hadn't practiced as much as I should have, but I did pretty okay for only my second practice. My first concert is on April 7th at Lee Park, and it's free. It is a fund-raiser for the Walt Whitman high school. My gf and Rachel are both busy that day, and I am sad. I really wanted GF to be there because this is important to me, but the Gods said no, and I must go it alone. There is still a ray of sunshine, though...my friend Jennifer from work says she will go. Tonya has said she will go, too, and I hope she does. I want to share my accomplishment! I'd invite my family, but because it's the 'Oaklawn' band, and it's at Lee Park, I hesitate. First of all, they aren't going to drive from FTW, and if they did, would they want to be around all those gay people? No. No, they wouldn't.
BTW~ I lost another tube of chapstick.
I have Chat right now. Rachel is in CO with Raevyn. They went to see Ani. Very cool. And I have custody of my boy for at least a week. I just love my 'Fat Bastard'. He had that name years before Austin Powers (just so you don't think we copied!).
