Dawn's Digression.

You know what would be a great gift? A box full of Chapstick. One can never have too much chapstick/lipstuff. Must have one for by the bed, in the coffee table (because you know I wouldn't leave it ON the coffee table), in the purse, in my desk at work, in the truck, at Michele's house, and just a couple of extras for when I've misplaced one of those.

You know what? My spelling/grammar sucks. I'm certain you haven't noticed yet. Really. It's bad. I used to at least try. The internet and spell check have ruined all my skills....and I swear I did have them at one point in time. I'm always spelling something wrong.

I'm glad the weekend is almost here. I'm ready. I'm always ready. I'm going to rent a movie. A DRAMA. Last weekend we watched 3000 Miles to Graceland. Would it be so bad to see a movie where nothing blows up and no one is shot? No airplanes, no dark sunglasses, no armed robbery. This is what I want. So, I'm trying to decide what to get. I was thinking about getting "Playing by Heart". If you haven't seen this, you really must. It has a great cast, and the story is just wonderful. I've already seen that, but I'm afraid if I pick something new out and it sucks, I'll ruin my chances of ever getting to pick another movie. My gf has never seen Little Women. What kind of chick has never seen Little Women? I bet she's never read the book either!

Did I mention I was planning to plant some stuff in the backyard this weekend? Well, I was. The thing is that it looks like it's gonna be cold. I'm notsomuch into being outside in the cold playing in dirt. I only like to play in the dirt when it's nice and warm. But not hot. Hot sucks. I hate Texas. I have no idea what I've thought and what I've actually typed, but I'm thinking about planting some Evening Primrose out by where we sit at night, because those bloom at dusk, and you can literally sit there and watch it. We used to do that all the time when I was a kid. I wonder if I need to plant actual plants instead of seeds so that we get the opportunity to watch them this year? I'm also going to plant some Peppermint. Because it's useful. And I always put it in my tea. I never make just plain tea. Always peppermint. And I thought about growing some Stevia, which is a natural sweetner, but it sounds like I would need to extract the sweetness out of the plant for the best effects instead of just adding some leaves to my beverage. What would that be like for company?
"Would you like some tea?"
"Sure."
"Okay. Would you like sweetner?"
"Yes, please"
"Okay. Let me just grab some weeds from the backyard and add it to your tea."
Yeah. I'm not thinking the company would like that. :)
I was thinking about some Dill. I think that's good for our zone. But Dill is so weedy-looking. Anyway, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. But I have NEVER had a garden, so it should be fun. I always just plant stuff in pots and kill it there. It should be much more fun to kill it actually in the ground!
