Fine, I'll just tell you. I got a new job. Yay! The best part of this new job? I work from home. This could not have come at a better time because I have been hating my current position. I gave my notice on Monday, and my last day here is next Friday, the 8th. I'll still be staffing, but not recruiting. So, I get to work within my skill set without having the sales aspect. Fantastic, since I abhor sales and suck at it. The position doesn't pay more, but after you consider clothing, parking, gas, lunches with co-workers, jewelry and makeup it does. Plus, they'll be paying for my internet. Yay!
I'm stoked.
I have a lot of work to do at the house, though. The room that will be my office is the workout room right now. This means the treadmill and bicycle have to go somewhere else. I also have to find a home for the cat box. Ugh. But I get to work at home! I'll be wearing bunny slippers! I can do laundry in the middle of the day. If the cable man needs to come, I don't have to take PTO. If I need to get an oil change, I can do it in the middle of the week. If my belly hurts and I need to potty, I can do that in my very own potty! Or if I'm feeling bad, I can take a nap. The downside is that I'll also have to take calls after hours. I've been assured there won't be too many, and I hope that's true.
Anyway, I'm thrilled.
