Dawn's Digression.

Awww, You Guys!
I was just sitting here at my desk surfing the internet or something and my phone rang.
Guy on the phone: Uh, yeah, I, uh have some, uh flowers here for you.
Me: (all rude) For who?
Guy on the phone: For Dawn M--.
Me: Hunh? Um, okay.
I got flowers from my Muffin for no reason. No reason at all. As far as I know she hasn't done anything wrong. We didn't fight this morning. She did irritate me, but it was no big deal. I'm just not a morning person. They're so fall-ish and purdy. Orange roses and carnations. Little plastic apples (They're cute, not cheesy. I swear.), and there are maple leaves in the arrangement, too. So purdy.
I have an interview on Friday! Yay! This lady I used to support here went to another company. She has a coordinator position open and she wants me! The position is in downtown Dallas in that big building with the hole in it. Of course, I'm extremely nervous about the interview, but the good news is that I am currently employed so there isn't any real pressure. (Unless, of course I get laid off this week.) I think it would take me just as long to get to that office as it does this one, but I can ride the train to that location, which will be great because I can read or study or whatever to and from work instead of fighting traffic. Even if I get the job I won't take it unless it pays a few thousand dollars more than this one. Again, unless I get laid off.
I actually did go to a couple of thrift stores after work on Friday. They sucked. I reckon I'll have to find some more in the area that I can go to. I didn't find anything worth buying. There were a lot of people there trying on shoes. Man, I hope I never need to buy thrift store shoes. That would give me issues for real. Then I went to Home Depot for yet MORE color card things. Then I went home and watched Joy Ride.
Saturday morning I got up and went to Wal-Mart and Home Depot for paint stuff. I had Wal-Mart color match to the card I had, but I got the paint to the truck and realized it was a lighter color. The off white didn't look quite right, either. So then I went to the Depot and got paint there, too. I need to return the other paint to Wal-Mart. But I think I'll keep the off white for use in the guest room. We did the bathroom instead of the guest room.
Rachel was wrong. Ripping out wallpaper sucks ass. It took me 3 hours to get rid of that wallpaper. I also used a broom to get some of the texture off the ceiling. Our house a LOT of ceiling popcorn. Then Rachel came over and textured it and painted the ceiling. I went to Home Depot twice on Saturday.
Some bastard neighborhood children stole my spray paint I was going to use to spray paint the light fixture. I had painted the hook that goes on the back of my door and I left it out in the driveway to dry. When I went out later to paint the fixture it was gone. Little shitless bastards. They had been all over the neighborhood screaming all day. I hope those little bastardly bastards enjoyed huffing my paint. Bastards. I was pissed, in case you can't tell. So, I've finished all of the bathroom except the light fixture since I had no paint. We also need to rehang my mirror and hang some pictures. I hate the color of the walls. I did the walls a taupe to match my shower curtain and did the ceiling, cabinets, and trim off white. It's hard to find something that matches green tile. The taupe ended up having somewhat of a pink tint on the walls. Michele likes the color and says there is no tint, but she is WRONG. I'm hoping it will be better once I get some pictures in there. I am NOT repainting anytime soon. Next we will tackle the guest room and Michele's bathroom with junglebird paper. I'll be sure and scan some of that paper when we rip it down. Hideous. Her bathroom will be even harder to match due to her 'cream corn' tile.
Chelle and Eric came over Saturday night, and the 5 of us (Michele, Rachel, Eric, Chelle, and I) ate pizza, watched TV, and drank margaritas. I had a great time. It felt really good to catch up with Chelle and Eric after all this time. I am hoping that Michele didn't feel left out, though. I was quite worried about that.
I finished The Klone and I on Friday. W~. Today I was excited because I got to start a new book. I realized a few minutes into the book, that I've already read it! I let it play all the way in to work, but I haven't been able to get into this time. I hope I didn't listen to all the good books first! I finished Go Ask Alice last night.
I registered for one of my classes today, but can't seem to get registered for the one I REALLY need. They are saying I can't register because I haven't completed all the pre-requisites, but I HAVE! I wrote my advisor to get her advice. I'm very anxious, though. There are only 30 seats left. I don't think I've ever taken a class with 72 people in it before. There is no way the professor will ever know if I'm there or not. I have a love/hate relationship with that.
