I got a present.
I got a really cool present this weekend.
I went to visit my grandmother in the hospital. I don't think I've written about her in quite awhile, but I can tell you the picture is getting no rosier. She didn't know who I was. Scared the beejeezus out of me. I went in there and picked up some chapstick on her little table and asked her if it was Laura's because it was just like the Avon chapstick I had sold her. Granny said, "No it's mine." Then she gave me a look and asked, "How do you know Laura?" She seemed alarmed that I knew her. And then I said, "She's my aunt." (I had NO idea what to say.) Granny said, "I don't know you." I was SO freaked out...I just said, "Granny?" And then she knew who I was. But I didn't like that. Then she seemed really confused. She was pointing at stuff that wasn't there.... I am really freaked out and upset about the whole thing. No one else seems to think it is a big deal or should be heartbreaking. I think I disagree. I'm just going to have find someone else with a sick grandmother to discuss it with, I suppose. (Fair Maiden?? How's your grandmother?)
Anyway, I got home from the wretched hospital visit, and Muffin had bought some more of my favorite flowers....the last set she got me lasted about 3 weeks. We love my favorite flowers. A~, I looked around and there was string all over the house. I mean ALL OVER. She had me follow the string to my present. It was this really cool locket thing I had seen when I was out shopping with Shelley. It comes with 4 different kinds of essential oils...you put some oil on the felt and put the felt inside the locket. So cool. I was looking for it on the Bath & Body Works website, but I can't find it. It's really cute. And she gave me a card, too. One of those sweet sappy ones. I was really surprised since she isn't one to purchase sappy cards. She usually gets funny ones. Ain't she sweet?
