I would just like to shout out a "Thanks, Ya'll!" for all the comments. It always excites me when I see a comment. It means someone is listening. I think I'm up to seven readers now. Does this mean I should watch what I say more? I hope not. That would take all the fun out of blogging.
My little brother's 17th birthday is in about 2 weeks. He got to take his first solo flight the other day. He has been taking flying lessons this summer. (He's a little spoiled.) I'm quite a proud big sister, though. His goal is to go to the Air Force Academy. Mom said he is trying for all of the Academies. I hope he gets in the AF Academy, though. I wonder how he will take it if things don't go like has has them planned. I'd say he's probably pretty used to getting what he wants. But he's a cool kid. Let me tell you why: (warning: boring big sister story to follow)
My brother and I go Christmas shopping together every single year. We've done this for as long as I remember. Last year I was afraid he wouldn't want to go with his sister seeing how he has his own wheels now, and hanging out with your big sister is probably not the cool thing to do. A~ (new abbreviation for 'anyway') I was talking to my dad about it who in turn talked to my brother...and you wanna know what my baby brother said to my daddy? He said that no matter how old he gets he'll always want to go shopping with me. I got all teary and stuff. Almost did just now, too. And something else....we were driving around in his car...you know how parking lots are at Christmas...and he was SO courteous. He was waving people in front of him. Very calm. AND anytime we dealt with a sales associate he was very nice. Always very polite and saying "Thank You" and "Have a nice day". I think the Clifford song paid off. (Side note: I've looked all over the internet, and can't find the Clifford song I'm looking for. Any mothers know it? I am guessing it is from his 'Manners' book. But I remember it from Elementary school)
A~ that brother of mine a damn fine kid. He's cute, too. But I couldn't be biased or anything, right?
