Dawn's Digression.

Well, I have the MP3 player with me at work today. Sitting right here still nicely packaged. I can't use it on my computer at home, because it's a piece. (I think I may have mentioned this before!) I'd have to upload here at work, which is really okay with me.
I want the MP3 player for my bike rides. I have a CD player, but those are so BIG. What am I gonna do, wear a fanny pack? I think not! I think I'm going to open it at lunch and see if I can get it to work. There were some not-so-good reviews on Amazon. I figure I can always return it if it is a hunk of junk. I hope, anyway. I ride so much better with some GnR on. It was a beautiful weekend, and I didn't ride once. I was incredibly busy. Go here, go there. Ugh. The good news is that I didn't spend any money over the weekend. Okay, I did get my oil changed and car washed, but that's okay to spend. I didn't buy anything I wasn't supposed to.
I did finish Sybil and I read Even Dogs Go Home To Die. I really enjoyed Dogs. It only took me a few hours to read, and it made me laugh. Even though the story wasn't funny. It pretty much was about the writer's alcoholic father. hehe See? I was just thinking about something the father did that made me laugh. And he did it while he was drunk. That's not funny. But it was!
I have a habit of going out and spending too much money and then returning things. When I was younger, I absolutely refused to return things. Then I saw how convenient it is for impulse purchases. You know, like MP3 players you really don't need. 'Need' is such a strong word. I don't think I even knew Yoda had any shopping philosophies!
Chulie, you bought All That We Let In. It's the newest. I thought it looked lumberjacky, too! I had to listen to it a few times before I really got into it, but now I've been listening to it non-stop, and I really like it. It has gotten great reviews. Hope you like it. I found out the tickets for the 4/17 show are general admission, so if you decide you want to go, let me know and I'll send you the link to the ticket outlet. :)
My office is really cold again today. I'm the only one cold, though. Everyone else is just fine. I've been coughing quite a bit and my nose was running last night, so I wonder if I'm trying to get sick. This would be the best week for that since I have no school, so if I need to get sick, it needs to come on.
