Dawn's Digression.

I have re-arranged this cubicle so many times, and it still isn't exactly right. The chi is off, although only by a smidge. I've done a good job making this home. I bought one of those cool Asian paper lamps and put it in a corner that was very dark, and it helps. Of course, I have my plants in here, too. And now the tulips I got from Michele.

I sent Michele some flowers yesterday, and when she got them she asked if I made up the saying on the card. I had not. And she acted all insulted. I said, "Well, at least I didn't just write 'Happy Valentine's Day!" She had ordered my flowers earlier that day, and guess what she wrote on the card? "Happy Valentine's Day!" hehehe Oopsie. I've never had tulips before. They're pretty. We went outside the box and didn't get each other roses this year. We decided to mix it up a bit.

My weekend was really nice. I was extremely busy all weekend, although I can't really tell you what I did. Friday night I straightened up the house. Saturday I did my Valentine's Day shopping, studied on campus for awhile, bought tickets to Sarah MacLachlan, and then Rachel came over a little before 9 and we watched TV and fell asleep on the couch. Then she spent the night.

Sunday I slept until 11:30. 11:30. Much too late, but I needed it. Badly. I actually meant to be on campus Sunday working on a paper, but it didn't happen. I ended up finishing the paper yesterday at 3:45. I had to leave work for school at 4. I'm very proud because the paper isn't actually due until the 19th, but the teacher will look it over and give it back to me on Thursday so I can perfect it. The paper I wrote is a piece of shit. Truly, it is. I was a little embarrassed to give it to her, but it's better to let her see if I have the right idea, then to miss the opportunity.

A~ (Good grief, did I digress!) Sunday I went to the grocery store, and then straightened the house again, and ... I have no idea what I did. I worked on that damn paper some. I didn't get anywhere, but I worked on it. And then Michele came home around 5ish and we watched the Grammys, which were incredibly boring, and that guy (can't remember who it was, now) screwed up the words to "I Saw Her Standing There". Duh.

I just caught up on all my work. Now I just need to catch up on my surfing. I haven't read a blog in days, it seems. I feel all out of touch!

I took my Stats test yesterday, and it went okay. I'm not sure how I did. There were a couple of questions I was iffy about. I am really, really hoping for an A. B's do not make me happy.

Michele is still really gimpy. Her toes have turned all purple, and her knee is still HUGE. She says it hurts really bad today. The humor has worn off, so I don't make fun of her anymore. Now I just feel sorry for her.

Oh, before I go...
I play racquetball at Bally's, but the YMCA in Richardson has a court you can use for $5 per person if you aren't a member. Reservations are recommended.

Also, I didn't put 'Galileo' on the IG list cuz they always, always play that. I also didn't have 'Closer to Fine' on there. I picked stuff they don't usually perform except for 'Kid Fears' because I just love it. Believe it or not, I think I've been over-Galileo-ed. I know. I didn't know it could happen. I hope the new CD is good. I've heard a part of most of the tracks. I liked Become You, but there aren't a lot of songs on there that really grab me. Not like on Swamp Ophelia, Nomads, Indians, and Saints, or Rites of Passage. I still like it, though.

I bet you thought I was ignoring your comments, didn't you, Gil? ;)
