Two Nights - No Anxiety!!
Woo-hoo! I made it through two nights without one of those little anxiety attack things. AND I just noticed that I'm not shaking today. This is definite improvement. The strangest thing happened Saturday night, though. I was driving out to meet my folks for dinner and the same arm that falls asleep got a cramp. You know those Charlie horses you get in your leg in the middle of the night? My arm did that while I was driving. I have never, ever had that happen, and I didn't like it a dang bit. Very dangerous.
I would like to mention I went the entire weekend without one sip of alcohol, thankyouverymuch.
I have an appointment with an optomologist on Feb 13th. My thyroid has been checked repeatedly, and I've had an EKG within the last 6 months. I think that if my arm continues to go to sleep, I'll make an appointment with my doctor. It was doing that before I started taking the meds. I hadn't done it in a long time and then Saturday afternoon when I was getting my hair cut I noticed it was asleep.
BTW, the hair cut thing went okay. I ended up going to Toni & Guy. I've been going to Regis for years, but they have a way of making you feel a little too unimportant. And ya know what? I think you get what you pay for. I WILL be going back to Toni & Guy, and Tiffany will be cutting my hair again. Even if I did have to pay $55 (not including tip), which is highway robbery. She took the time to talk to me about my hair and about what would look good. Most of the time, I show the lady a picture, and then she cuts it, and then I look like shit. At least Tiffany didn't let me jack it up too bad. She said my hair wasn't that damaged, I just have nasty texture. Okay, so she didn't say 'nasty'. She just said this is how my hair is. I wanted layers, but she said if I got them, it would just be frizzier. So I had her take off an inch or so all around and then frame my face. I lost like 3 inches right in front. I can no longer wear my ponytail. *sigh* This means I actually have to fix my hair in the mornings. I tried to fix it this morning, and was moderately successful. I had an appointment with the color lady on Sunday, but I cancelled it. I was going to dye my hair red like it was for so many years, but I had an issue committing to it. Besides, I really didn't want to have an appointment.
My weekend was SO not a weekend. It's not that I was really all that busy. It's just that I didn't have time to sit and be bored. I did sit long enough to watch Freddy vs Jason, Black Knight, and T3. When I put it that way, it sounds like my weekend was VERY leisurely! I crammed movies between haircuts, dinner with family, homework, trips to the pet and grocery store, and housework. I don't think I was successful at much of the above. The hair is okay, we were late for dinner, don't get me started on the homework, we bought too many animals (more later), I forgot Michele's tissues, and the house is still a pit.
Did I mention I'm not shaking anymore? This is great!
I decided this weekend to give the fish a whole new look. I thought they needed a little Trading Spaces going on. I went with Melody last week to get some fish, etc, and I've hated our aquarium every since. Michele got it before I moved in, so I didn't feel all that comfortable telling her what color of stuff to put in. I had never even considered buying a real plant, but Melody had one, and if Melody has it, I have to have it, too. So, we bought a real plant and some new rocks. Neutral colored rocks. Ahhh..... The previous rocks were blue, which I was never a fan of, and their plant was ugly and plastic. I think the fish are happier, and I gotta tell you, they look mah-vel-ous! I was in a frenzy yesterday and wanted more fish. I wanted an aquarium for my room and our master bedroom. The chi is just awful in our master. A~, I avoided buying more fish.
However. We did buy 2 new mice. We just felt way too sorry for Eve. We went after one, but couldn't decide. I saw the teeniest, tiniest mouse ever in the cage, and it was SO scraggly. You know how I love scraggly. Michele saw a cute little mousie that was crazy on the wheel, and she wanted that one. We couldn't decide, so we got both. Allow me to introduce... Scraggles and Maggie. :) (Sorry I have no picture. Damn computer.) Scraggles is crazy. She is a bitchass. No kidding. I swear she has been smoking crack. But she's cute. Maggie seems sweet. Eve seems annoyed. But at least she isn't cold. Maggie and Scraggles should end the Reign of the Mice at our house. We finally have 2 the same age, so we can let them die off, now. Not that we want them to die. Of course not! We just don't want one alone for a long period of time. That's mean. We bought a new wheel for the girls. One that is metal so they can grab on to it and go upside down. The old plastic wheel was no good for that. We got Eve a little ball we can put her in and she can walk around the house. They also got a new food bowl.
We had gone to PetSmart to get a collar for Boobies. "Why?" you ask?
I lost my Boobies.
Boobies was playing in the backyard the other day. When it was time for me to close the door, I couldn't find him, so I shut the door. Usually, he freaks out and comes and scratches on the door because he wants in. Finally, I decided to look for him. The little bastard was at the front door. FRONT. I opened the front door, and he hauled ass. I walked around the side of the house. No Boobies. I walked into the house. Little bastard at the back door. SO~ we decided Boobies would have to have a new collar and tag. He seemed to adjust to his collar just fine. We let him play in the back yard. Patti & Helen called last night and wanted us to come over. We looked and looked and looked for Boobies. Couldn't find him. I'm yelling for him in the back yard. Only I'm yelling "Boo-BOO", cuz I cannot very well stand in the yard and yell, "BOOBIES!", can I? I think not. Usually, he'll come if I yell, "Booooo-beeees Mc Fad-din!" But I wasn't going to do that in the yard, either. Finally, we simply had to go. We'd been looking for him for 20 minutes. We locked up the house and left. We got home a good two hours later. Still no Boobies. We looked all over. Michele carried on with our laundry, and she heard him crying. Little Bastard was in the kitchen window. She went out to get him and he ran towards the front of the house. I'm standing there with the front door wide open, and the little bastard would NOT run in. He ran around to the back of the house and stood at the back door. Little Bastard. He will not go outside again for a very long time. We hope he enjoyed his adventure because he will be watching Ally and Peanut out there basking in the sun from his position inside the house. Little Bastard. We're both still mad at him. And all he could do was purr.
