Dawn's Digression.

I meant to blog yesterday, but I got incredibly slammed late in the day. For some odd reason, I don't like to blog so much in the morning, but I hear they are moving me today, and at the new cube, people will be able to see my computer screen. How much does that suck?

My belly should only hurt for a couple of weeks. Which will be a miracle if it's true because my belly has hurt pretty consistently for about 15 years. It is worse than usual, though. I'm now to the special place where you don't sleep. I didn't sleep last night. At all. Or so it seemed. I'm sure I got a few hours of sleep, but it sure didn't seem like it. I tossed and turned all night. The whole time Michele was snoring. Bee-atch.

My trip to the eye doctor Saturday sucked. He dilated my eyes. I had never had that done before, and for some reason it really freaked me out. I've never been in the position where my sight was skewed like that, and it was scary. I'm supposed to go back today for a vision field test, but I'm not going because it will cost me about $130. (Vision insurance doesn't cover this.) I'm going to use my medical insurance to make an appointment with an optomologist instead of an optomitrist so I only have to make my copay. Apparently, there could possibly be something wrong with my right eye. I didn't really understand what he said. Something about blood flow and optical nerve and blah blah. We're just going to call it 'Gimpy Eye'. I thought it was weird, though, that he asked me if I've had any tingling or anything. He meant anywhere on my body. I told him my right arm has been falling asleep quite often. He was all "Blah, blah, blah...blood flow...blah blah....vision comes and goes...blah blah" *shrug* Great. I'll probably be blind in one eye in five years. Won't I get disability then and free college or something? That'd be cool. Not the blind part. That definitely is not good. I'm just trying to see the positive. I did get new glasses, though. I couldn't really see myself while I tried them on, but the lady there said they looked good. We'll see.

I got The DaVinci code on Thursday. I'm already halfway through it. I think that ordinarily I'd be more than that, but I pretend to study every now and then and it breaks up my reading time. It's pretty interesting. I like.
