Dawn's Digression.

It's my first day of college at the BIG school.  Where all the kids go and mommy and daddy pay for their tuition and they don't have to work and stuff.  It's also the nerd school in the area.    Unfortunately, the school closest to my home is the hardest.  *sigh*  But it has a really nice reputation.

I went to get my books on Saturday and Michele was all cute.  She decided she needed some UTD paraphernalia.  I ended up with a T-shirt and hat, and she ended up with nothing.  I won't be wearing the hat and t-shirt together --  I do have my limits on the amount of dorkiness I show the world.  I looked for an annoying bumper sticker to give to Alex that said something like "Comet Brother", since he gave me an "Aggie Sister" sticker, but I didn't find anything.  I also looked for a window cling for my parent's car (Why should Alex get all the car advertising??), but all they had were stickers.    My books were less than $200 for both classes.  This made me happy.

I bought myself school supplies yesterday --  TWO Strawberry Shortcake spirals.  Michele was alarmed.  "You're NOT taking that to COLLEGE with you, are you?"  Well, duh!  Of course I am.  Because I'm Berry Cool.

Also, I am getting my school loan within the next couple of days  (I thought I'd have it today!), and it will be enough to pay off all debt except for ONE credit card.  The loan's interest is 2.65%, and I can start paying on it now.

Any-hoo.  It's a happy day in Dawnville, and I felt the need to share my joy.

Now I'll quit talking about myself.
