Dawn's Digression.

Well, still no news about the job. My boss sent an email to let us know it will be at least Monday before we know anything. Oy. I'm not sweating it too much. Well... I am, but I'm not. I have to be at least a little concerned about it. My major concern is that they will move me to Irving. I simply cannot make that drive. I do feel safe in a way, though, because I am a very highly rated employee and I am probably the lowest paid. Why would you lay off that person unless you completely dissolved the position? You wouldn't; however, the position may be dissolved. So, although I'm freaked out, I'm not letting it get the best of me. Nope, nope, nope. A couple of my co-workers are VERY distraught. In that way, I'm being very low maintenance about all of this.
Michele is being so sweet these days. I couldn't be mad at her if I tried. Although she has been working very long hours, she is in a good mood when she gets home and takes my feelings into account. She understands my work-related stress and has been very supportive. This morning she got up early with me and got all my things ready for work. When it was time to leave, I went out to get in the truck, and she had pulled it up, and had all my work stuff in there and my glass of ice water to go in the cup holder. She had even taped the directions to my dash. She's been so great I almost have to be suspicious. ;) She even brought me home a surprise yesterday. A new necklace and earrings.
Thank God, we finally got Finding Nemo in the mail. Perhaps I will have something good to say about a movie next week.
