Dawn's Digression.

There is something I've been meaning to blog about, and I just can't seem to remember what it is.

Barney has to have some brake work done. On my way home last night I noticed a beautiful grinding noise. Lovely. Just lovely. $300 minimum. Not that $300 is all that much money, really. *shrug* But it's still a minor setback in the bank of Dawn. Crazy truck. We're going to drop it off on Monday and the nice man I talked to on the phone who promised not to rip me off is going to fix it. And fix only what needs to be fixed. Dangit.

We're not doing a lot this weekend. Well, not a lot that requires plans. Tonight is picture night. This is where we pick out what we need enlargements of. Tomorrow is photo lab, picture frames, picture album day. Oh, and centerpiece day as well. All of that. We may go see Texas Chainsaw Massacre, too. I dunno. I'm actually not feeling stressed about all the items listed above. Either it will get done, or it won't. Either way, I'm sure everything will be just fine.

One of my otters died. I have a paperweight that Ruby gave me with two little otters floating in it. Yesterday I noticed only one was floating. The other was laying in the bottom. I cannot get him to float. It feels a little morbid to have the other otter floating around in a little ocean with a dead otter on the bottom. I can't bring myself to throw this away yet, though. I still have hope that the dead otter will be resurrected. Actually, I just now got him to float. I bet he'll be back at the bottom by the time I leave today.
