Dawn's Digression.

I've been trying to think of something upbeat to talk about. Something a little more fun than what I've been discussing.

I'm very excited because I ordered Cut. I have no idea if it will be any good, but you know how I love a crazy chick! :) I read I Never Promised You a Rose Garden awhile back, and didn't like it a bit. I didn't like that girl's alternative world. I had a hard time reading that part. It confused me. I really like The Bell Jar, and I'm looking forward to Prozac Nation. I'm also excited because Chicago should be coming from Netflix either today or tomorrow. I bet I get it today. Woo-hoo! That was a good movie. So, I have that and Dangerous Beauty for when Michele gets home.

We're getting cable on Saturday. I put it off for a couple of weeks. First of all, the people who lived there before hadn't gotten their cable turned off, so we had basic. The day it was turned off, I called the cable company to get the hook up. That was a week ago. We don't get ANY channels.

I finally called the alterations lady to tell her I wouldn't be in. It was cool because she wasn't there, so I left a message. I'm so scared of leaving my dress with someone. If they mess it up, I can't fix it. So scary. I also hate having to go with Michele and coming out to whoever works there. You just never know what you're going to get. Even though we've only had one bad encounter, I'm a little paranoid. Can't help it.

I'm so out of it today. Very sleepy. I woke up at 1:41am this morning thinking it was time to get up. I was disappointed, actually, that it wasn't. But then I slept well, so it was okay.

I left the dog in the kitchen locked up for 13 hours yesterday. Somehow, she opened the kitchen doors that lead to the den/study, and was loose in the house. I couldn't find tinkle anywhere. I'll never find it. I know it's there, though. It has to be. When I let her outside, she didn't run out to pee. She kinda trotted and sniffed something first. Oy. Just what I need. Dog pee to match cat pee.

In other news: A very kind neighbor came over and cut up that branch from the pecan tree. I asked him how much he wanted to be paid, and he said "Nothing. No charge. That's what neighbors do." Isn't that sweet? I was SO grateful. I need to do something for him, but I have no idea what.

Well, 4:27. Time to hit the road.
