Dawn's Digression.

I almost called in to a radio station yesterday. Kidd Kraddick was talking about how his daughter called from her little acting camp and he mentioned something about her becoming a Wiccan. I thought they were about to start hatin' on Wiccans. I tell you what. I got my cell phone all prepared with the number in it and my headset on. I was ready to go. Fortunately, the first call they answered was from a Wiccan. So was the second. So I put away my headset and let them defend the Wiccan honor.
It really yanks my chain when someone criticizes a religion other than their own. I believe people are free to believe what they want. If you want to believe in the Tree God, so be it. Good for you. I won't say a word to you. I may ask you questions about your religion, but just in a curious way. People criticize without having facts. Ignorance. At least say that you're ignorant before interjectiong your opinion. I do it all the time. I say, "I don't know a whole heck of a lot about it, but it seems to me...." I think this is okay. What is not okay is to pass judgement. Bad, bad, bad. Just because someone believes something different, doesn't make them wrong. It makes them a tool for you to learn from. That's all I'm saying.
