Return from hell
I had my wisdom teeth extracted last Wednesday. The procedure didn't suck at all. What was horrible was the whole IV thing. I have no veins. After fighting with my right arm for a good fifteen minutes, the nurse started on my left arm. My right arm is STILL bruised.
I'll be nice and not tell you about all the disgusting things that have transpired. Just know I have pulled some quite nasty things from holes in my mouth. Some of which were unidentifiable. I still have a bad taste in my mouth, my ear has been hurting like crazy, and and I can't feel my lip.
Now for the upside. There is one. The Commissioner was wonderful. She more than exceeded my expectations. It sounds bad, but I've been somewhat shocked by her kindness. She stayed with me lots and didn't yell at me for laying in bed for five days. Five days seems a bit excessive, even to me. I spent all day Wed and Thursday sleeping at her house. I couldn't get up, because every time I did, I was nauseaous. Friday she took me home on the way to work and then I went to the dentist and he packed some clove in my holes (I think I can remove 'clove cigarette' from my vices now. GRODY.) My mother spent the night on Friday, so I was up and moving from 4pm until around midnight. Saturday my mom and I went to my little brother's drill meet, and so I was up a few hours that day, too. Sunday I was up all day, I just kept taking 'couch breaks', where I'd stop whatever I was doing and lay on the couch for a bit.
I'm moving in this weekend. Oy. This means I should pack, doesn't it? It also means I need to pick what will go in storage and what will go with me. Thankfully, I don't own much, so I think I can get most of it in my room. The kitchen will be a challenge, however. I'll pack most of it, but I just need things like my favorite Strawberry Shortcake glass. Non-negotiable.
