Wazzup?
I think I might have slept too much today. I was sleeping by 10:30 last night and didn't wake up until almost noon today. Then I took a couple of naps. About 5:30 or so I decided I might want to get up and take a shower and move to the living room. At 7:45 I came back to my room to read and fell asleep until around 9:30. I'm not real tired. :( Oops.
Ruby wants me to go to Rome with her and Jessica. I was thinking 'Yes', then I was thinking 'No'. When I told Mom about it, she just looked at me as though I'm an idiot for thinking 'No'. I'm keeping an eye on the airfare. Apparently, it is much more expensive to go in the summer. No shock there.
Did I tell ya'll about the books I bought last week? Half Price Books was having an additional 20% off, so I printed out my Amazon Wish List went a bit nuts. :D
Body Language - I am apparently failing miserably at knowing when people lie. At least based on the drinking game I played at the New Year's party. Maybe this book will help? *sigh*
When Rabbit Howls - 92 Voices, ya'll.
Darkness Visible: A Memoir of Madness
The Flock: The Autobiography of a Multiple Personality
Tao Te Ching
Tao Teh Ching - A translation of the Tao Te Ching. I can't find a link to this even using the ISBN. Weird.
Curious Wine - Suzy made me buy it. As a general rule, lesbian fiction is not my bag, so we'll see.
How to Say It - I already have the one for couples and really like it. This one cracked me up, though, because there is a chapter on how to write a love letter. Um. If you need a book for that, just skip it, eh? Oh, lookie here. Sample love letters.
The Message - Because I'm irritated by my own ignorance.
This book is awful. How to Make Anyone Fall in Love With You. It was in the Psychology section. I think the "Jokes & Riddles" section would have been better. I flipped through it and tossed it on the floor. It refers to the person reading the book as "The Huntress" and the object of affection as "Your Quarry". Awful, insulting and manipulative. Do people really read these books and use the info? Talk about disrupting the balance of nature... I can't imagine any relationship gained this way is worth two cents. At least it was less than $3.
Oh! Wanna see the class I'm taking with Suzy? The Best Year of Your Life We're totally stoked. She tried to get Rach to take with us, but Rachel is notsomuch for reading.
One of my resolutions this year is to learn some sign language. I haven't set my goal, yet, but it shouldn't be anything too scary. Yesterday was 'caught in the act'. Today is 'free', 'chain' and love. (Love is easy, so it doesn't count.) hehe. I reckon I just learned 'foxy'. Very important one. hehe I amuse myself yet again. Anyway, I'm stoked about this resolution. Anything I learn will be more than what I know now.
I'd also like to get through The Message. I'd say Tao Te Ching as well, but that thing is vague. I think I'll like it. I think.
2006 is going to be my best year ever. I know this because I will make it so. I feel like I'm on the right track. So, I suppose my mood is 'optimistic'. Besides, how could it be worse than 2005 or 2004? Hmm. 2003 was rough, too. heh. Okay, there is no death or lying in 2006. I know, I dream big.
