A Social Engagement
I actually have a social engagement this evening. It feels like it has been a long time. It actually has been a really long time since I met Tonya for happy hour. Michele and I went over to Tonya's new house in December, but it wasn't the same as it is when Tonya and I hang out alone. I am going to say it has been at least a year since Tonya and I went out. So, when I decided, "Hey, I should go out!" I called Tonya. And we made plans. Just like that. Coordinating with friends is so hard. I've grown weary of even bothering.
Patti & Helen are going with us to Colorado. Well, okay, not with us. But they are going, too. This will be good. First of all, Patti & Helen bent over backwards for us when we were getting married, even flying to Vermont. They had the shower at their house. They stayed at the hotel with us after the reception and helped us get everything out to the car. They have also spent a lot of time being supportive in the last year. I was going to invite Jennifer and Danny as well, but no dice since Patti & Helen have 2 kids. (Our place holds 6) I'm certain Jennifer wouldn't have come anyway since she is due in August, but it sure would have been fun!
