I have nine unanswered emails in my inbox. I keep looking at them and thinking I need to respond, I just have nothing to say. Last night, I attempted to write in my journal. The gist of what I wrote: Wow, I have nothing to talk about.
Here's something, though. I just spent 5 minutes looking up "gest" and "jest". I could not remember the word 'gist'. Um, duh! My lack of a vocabulary frightens me. What will happen in January when I am forced to write a paper for school? Can you even imagine?
