Dawn's Digression.

Last night Michele and I were laying around talking and I was showing her my new wrinkles. I told her I needed botox, which of course, she disagreed with. (She better!) I told her I want plastic surgery so I have eyes. I used my fingers to pull up my eyelids to demonstrate what I wanted. She laughed at me and said she wanted to see my eyes as they usually are. So, I put my hands down and she started laughing! She said she never noticed before that I really don't have eyes! Can you believe that? Meanie!
Did I tell you Michele's parents are indeed coming to the reception? They are. And her big brother. Possibly the baby brother, too. This is great news for Michele. This means she doesn't have to disown them. While I'm completely stoked not to have family drama, I feel I must admit I feel a little disappointment. Before you get all huffy on me and tell me what an awful person I am, let me tell you why. First off, this means we're probably going to have to go to Oklahoma for Christmas. Which means I have to take some time off work. We know I love to take time off work, but spending said time off in OK is not my idea of fun. Also, she invited the family to stay at our house, which, of course, is the right thing to do. But geez. We're SO not unpacked yet. Having her parents in our house freaks me out. Probably because I don't know them. And realistically, I bet they decide to stay in a hotel. But great news for Michele, no? I am just dying to know what changed their minds.
