I want roller skates so bad I can't stand it. I want to go to Target at lunch and pick some up because that's what I want to do after work. I was supposed to meet with a personal trainer tonight at 6, but I just plain don't want to. I didn't even bring my workout clothes with me to work. I don't want to be in a gym today. It is beautiful weather here in Dallas, and we have to enjoy it before it gets too hot. I just have to wonder at what age you just look ridiculous on roller skates. Most likely much younger than I am now. I feel really bad that I'm not more excited to work out and be healthy these days, but I mostly excuse myself. At least I'm not eating like I used to. I can say that much for myself. And sadly, that's enough for me somehow.
Rachel jacked up her knee and can't play football this year. She has to have knee surgery and everything. It really sucks because she was totally excited about playing. I was really looking forward to watching a game or two. Would've been fun to watch her kick some ass.
There was a squirrel on the bird feeder this morning. Boobies was on that like white on rice. And that squirrel hung out for quite awhile. When we get a house, I want a whole area of the backyard for bird feeders, a squirrel feeder, and a bird bath. I just love to watch birds, and the kitties love it as well. Boobies was trying to climb the window this morning. He failed miserably.
We got the cats a new bowl over the weekend. It's SO cute. It came with a place mat, food bowl, and water bowl. For just $5. And it's ceramic, too. Not that cheap plastic crap. We needed the place mat because Peanut is a dodo bird, and has to pull the food out of the bowl with her foot, letting it fall on the ground, before she can eat it. It's somewhat amusing. Until you see the mess she leaves after she eats. The other day Michele and I were watching Ally eat, when lo and behold, she stuck her little foot in the bowl and pulled out food! OMG, I laughed so hard. Ally learned a fun trick from Peanut. Michele was not impressed. I have no idea why not. ;)
Boobies was hiding in the food closet the other day for some weird reason. Later Michele went to get them some food, and he had chewed through the new bag of cat food. You know, one of those huge 20 pound bags...and of course, the little shit chewed a whole towards the bottom. I taped it up last night.
Guess where Barney went yesterday? You'll never believe it. The car wash. I paid a person and EVERYTHING. Barney got vacuumed and waxed and all that jazz. Barney feels fancy. Unless you count that stupid ass stain on the middle of the seat. I'll never get that out.
I've been trying to keep myself kinda busy. Tuesday night I got out my coloring books and colored. Last night I played video games. Pretty much anything to keep myself busy. I think tonight or tomorrow I'll try actually cleaning something. Maybe.
I think I'm going to visit Granny on Saturday. Michele is supposed to be going to get her hair done. I really hope she does so I don't feel bad for leaving her alone for so long and so I don't have to rush to get back. The drive is only an hour out to see her, but if you put that with the drive back and the actual visit, it becomes more of a four hour thing. That's a long time. In my book, anyway.
We got HBO and Starz yesterday. I figured what the hell. My half of the cable bill is already $27. What is another $5? I think it is just ridiculous to pay so much for TV. I really do. I'd rather not watch it. But Michele loves the TV and it must be on, even if there isn't anything good on, so more choices sound good to me. Besides, I've really been wanting to check out Six Feet Under and she wants to watch Oz. And then there is always Sex in the City, which seems to be a big deal to a lot of people. I'll admit the show is entertaining...I just don't love it. Ya know?
Well, it is Survivor night. You reckon the two who get to be alone together will do it? I bet they do. Scandal. Scandal is fun. As long as it is on TV and not in my life.
I know I mentioned I went to see The Hours again the other day. It didn't get to me like it did last time. Possibly because I have other things on my mind, but I still really liked it. I wish I felt like reading. Reading is a great form of escapism. I can't believe I'm ignoring it. A~, we went to a really old theater, and damn, I squiggled the whole time. My body was hurting all over. I don't know if it was the seats or what, but I could NOT get comfortable.
