Hunh...

A growing army of ladybugs is at war in East Coast forests _ charged with devouring a nasty foe of the Eastern hemlock. The predatory black ladybird beetle, a cousin to the cute, red-and-black dotted variety, is the size of a poppy seed. Scientists hope the beetles will someday prove the cure for the hemlock woolly adelgid, a ravenous insect that is threatening the survival of the prized shade trees.
