Dawn's Digression.

Mom came over last night to finish the centerpieces. We took one look at hers and hated the ones we had made. So, Mom had to 'spiffy' ours up after she made hers. She did a really good job. I won't be ashamed at all to put them out!
I got my advent calendar yesterday. Michele suprised me by looking excited about it. I have one month to finish the thing. I'm already having my doubts, but I really want this. And it's going to be nice and cold outside, so I can watch tv and sew on it. I love that. Since Halloween is next weekend, I really need to work on Darcee's autumn bandana. It just has leaves. It isn't very fancy. I noticed a couple of flaws on her current bandana, but it was my first one, so it's okay. I'm thinking about making Gabby (Patti & Helen's little dog) one, too. Gabby is so cute. She's a yorkie and she is teeny tiny. Of course, Peanut will have a bandana also.
One more day. *big sigh* I'm a little nervous about Michele's family. I don't feel like I know them, and it brings me anxiety to have to pretend to be all dignified and whatever while I'm trying to finish things up for the reception. It will be fine, though. I already know her mom likes me. I will be meeting her aunt and uncle for the first time, so that should be interesting. Her uncle is a minister. Hope he enjoys Kid Rock's Cowboy and a bunch of lesbians. It will be an eye-opening experience for both of our families, I'm sure.
Wow, those were some boring posts yesterday. Sorry about that. I'm afraid I won't have much to say today, either. :( I'll try to come up with something interesting some time today, though, 'kay?
